Wedding Ceremony Guidelines

Readers (Lectors)
Readings from Scripture may be proclaimed by friends or family members chosen by the couple. Readers should be well prepared and attend the wedding rehearsal.

Music
Music has an important place in the celebration of marriage. Since a wedding is a worship service, music should be sacred. The couple must speak with Paul Jenkins, Director of Music, (416) 920-3341 or (416) 985-3341.

Altar Servers
Altar servers will be provided by the parish.

Decorations and Flowers
Make your own arrangements. The church is open on Saturday mornings for flower delivery. Pew markers are available from the church if necessary. Please contact our sacristan, Gerrie Lysaght, (416) 489-6211, to coordinate delivery of flowers, pew markers, etc.

Photography
The official photographer should speak to the Presider at least 10 minutes before the wedding begins.

Wedding Rehearsals
Rehearsals are conducted by Sister Mary DiGiralamo at (416) 488-8229; please contact Sr. Mary to make your arrangements.

Invitations
The street address of the church is 2982 Yonge Street, South of Lawrence on the West side of Yonge Street, (we suggest you use 24 Cheritan Avenue because the proper Church address cannot be Googled for directions.

Signing the Register
At Blessed Sacrament, the Register is signed for all to witness.

Parish Hall
The Parish Hall is not available for any type of reception.

Wedding Coordinators
It is your prerogative to use a wedding coordinator to plan your wedding; however, he or she will have no part in planning or directing the church service.

Confetti
Absolutely nothing like confetti, rice, flower petals, bird seed, etc. is allowed to be thrown either inside or outside of the church.

Candelabra and Archers
Candelabra and archers are not permitted in the church. Pew bows should be tied, NOT stapled or taped to the pews.
